The Repeating Crossbow is only available in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. While it can function fine as a standard crossbow, its Ash of War—which allows it to fire back-to-back bolts at a staggering speed—makes it stand out among other weapons in its class. Thanks to its fairly reasonable stat requirements, it can make a great ranged option for almost any endgame build.
Here’s what you need to know about the Repeating Crossbow and where to find it.
Repeating Crossbow stats and features
The Repeating Crossbow has a weight of 6.0 and requires the following stats to wield:
The weapon comes equipped with Ash of War: Repeating Fire. This Ash of War is the bread and butter of the Repeating Crossbow, giving you the ability to shoot fire bolts in rapid succession. Once you assume the stance, you can crank out bolts extraordinarily fast, dealing huge damage to your enemies.
The Repeating Crossbow can be upgraded to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones.
Repeating Crossbow item description
The Repeating Crossbow’s item description reads:
“A mechanized crossbow that has been fitted with a fan-shaped contraption.
This metallic piece adds a reloading system used in the execution of a unique battle art.”
Where to find the Repeating Crossbow
The Repeating Crossbow can be found in Scadu Altus just north of the Fort of Reprimand. From the Site of Grace outside of the fort, head through the hole in the cliff and out into the open area of the region.
Walk north just a bit and you’ll find massive dragon fighting soldiers here. If you’re feeling up for it, you can choose to jump in and fight (at which point you’ll eventually need to take down the dragon). Or, you can just run over to the left side of the road in the general area they’re fighting. There, you’ll see a corpse with an item on it. Yup, you guessed it, it’s the Repeating Crossbow!
